Digital Ben

There was once talk of turning Big Ben digital. I am very glad that they didn’t carry out such a travesty on such a representative monument.
Just think how horrible it could have looked with a digital face…

The outcry would bring down the empire.
Visiting Big Ben is a fascinating experience. I did it last year and have promised my Son a trip once he can go (when he reaches Secondary school age).
We also have a very interesting clock tower in Morley, but the Safety Elf won’t let anyone near it any more.
I don’t think they meant the clockface Chris! I think they were refering to the internal gubbins which at present is kept running to time by balancing old coins on the pendulum dependant on the season. Or summat like that.
