Gone Camping
The number of Britons going camping has fallen by a fifth.
But I’m not one of them. I’m off camping with my Scout troop, so there’ll be no posts this weekend!

When I first met my wife she suggested we go camping. I told her she could go if she wanted, but I’d be staying in a hotel !
I cannot think of any circumstances where I would EVER go camping.
Have you NEVER been camping?! I feel for you! Camping is fantastic, even in the winter. Sleeping under canvas is a unique experience.
I spent the weekend with a bunch of 12 and 13 year olds, but it was great. We taught them skills which they cannot get any other way in modern Britain - such as how to put up a tent and set up a campsite, how to light fires, how to chop wood etc. THEY enjoy it, and that makes it all worthwhile.
