Not Doing Their Job

The police do not seem to be doing their job:

Police are refusing to investigate more than two million reported crimes every year, including huge numbers of burglaries and thefts, The Sunday Telegraph can disclose.
Almost four out of 10 offences are “screened out” as unsolvable within hours of being reported to police, and the cases are closed.
No officer visits the scene of the crime and no attempt is made to catch the culprit. (Sunday Telegraph)

Truly disgraceful. If they aren’t going to even bother investigating a crime, what on earth are they there for? We have a police force to prevent crimes through the fear of being caught and then sentenced in a court. If they aren’t even going to bother trying to find them, this means that they are getting away absolutely scot free - and we can’t have that.

If there is no fear about being caught, crime will just increase. There is no excuse for not investigating at all. Some crimes just can’t be solved due to a lack of evidence, but to screen out as many as four out of ten reported crimes within hours, without any officers even visiting the crime scene, is really criminal negligence in itself.

The dark figure will just keep on growing for as long as the police spend so much time form-filling and no where near enough doing what we actually pay them to do.

1st you disarm your citizens making them rely on police to help AFTER a crime…

then you stop checking the crimes…

wonder what’s next for you guys?

Nazh, when are you going to understand that guns DON’T stop crime? All they do is mean that criminals need guns in order to commit crimes - which thus leads to more deaths.

Guns are not an issue at all in this, but whether the police are doing their job.

and Police do not stop crime… yet guns actually do stop crime TD; I know you don’t want to believe it, but from someone who has seen a gun stop a crime, it is true nontheless
