The similarities between the two are startling:
Both are leaders of large organisations with a penchant for telling people what is right and wrong and what they should do.
Both are failing to provide any sort of clear leadership to their respective organisations.
Both are ditherers, who just can’t make their mind up over important issues.

Heathcliff is an embittered, violent figure who treats most others with cruelty and contempt and who may have been a killer.

You have to say things like this when you are already in power:
I think I’m the right person to take people through these difficult times.
What he really means is that “the electorate think I’m a loser, and my deputy wants my job. But it’s my party and I’ll cry if I want to.”
Especially when the [...]
“A big majority of voters regard Gordon Brown as weak, a loser and not up to the job of being Prime Minister…A mere 25 per cent believe Mr Brown is up to the job of being Prime Minister, against 72 per cent who believe he is not.” (The Times)

Until last night, Murray was just another dour, bad-tempered Scot like the one who lives in 10 Downing Street. But now, Murray mania has hit Britain after his epic five-set victory last night - which pulled viewing figures of more than 10 million.

I got a joke via text message in the past week. Well, several truth be told, but one I want to mention read as this:

Gordon Brown is cold-calling people at home on a regular basis. This is, apparently, part of a plan to “humanise” him. I assume that this is to go alongside his online PMQs. Seriously, what is he - a Martian?!
Rather than “humanising” him, cold-calling voters just makes him look like a salesman. No-one likes getting cold-called [...]
I’ve posted one definition of Brownism before:
Definition of Brownism: (braun’i(z’?m)
1. (verb) The subtle art of combining of words into sentences that are meant to deliberately mislead or confuse the general public.
Origins: A term coined to categorize all of Prime Minister Brown’s eccentric speech.
Example: A sample Brownism: “This will be a government of no spin.”
