This video is 15-odd minutes long, but very much worth watching. It is a fantastic evaluation of why and how blogging, and the entire internet, works and is rising in popularity. It also explains why lolcats
exist.
If you only watch one video online today, make it this one.

Gordon Brown has launched a new gimmick initiative - and an online one at that!
Ask The PM.

Politicians get a chance in prime ministers question time and other question times - I think it’s time the public had a chance.

We have until June 21st to submit questions. So we should all get on our webcams and [...]

A Bloggers’ Code

Apparently:

A voluntary code of conduct for bloggers and internet commentators is supported by almost half of all internet users, a survey has claimed.
The researchers said 46 per cent of web users believe bloggers should agree to a set of guidelines which reflected the laws on defamation, intellectual property rights and incitement. (The Telegraph)

First of all: [...]

A row about who should pay for extra network costs incurred by the iPlayer has broken out between internet service providers (ISPs) and the BBC.ISPs say the on-demand TV service is putting strain on their networks, which need to be upgraded to cope…Simon Gunter, from ISP [...]

YouTubing Parliament

Uploading Parliamentary debates to YouTube is currently banned. But why?
Why should debates in our Parliament not be “allowed” to be put on YouTube or other video-sharing websites?
I agree completely with Lib Dem MP Jo Swinson when she said:
Parliament should be embracing new technology as a way of reconnecting with the public, so isn’t it about [...]

Banning "Pirates" From Teh Interwebz

Yeah, like this is going to work.
You can hardly “ban” people from the internet. That is absurd in so many ways. And it won’t work, no matter what they do, in this way. By banning - or, rather, trying to ban - “pirates” from the internet they are trying to force the ISPs to police [...]

Self-Congratulatory Testimonials

79th best Conservative Blog - Iain Dale's Guide to Political Blogging 2006

54th Right of Centre blog - Iain Dale's Guide to Blogging 2007

"I like the way he handles a broad range of subjects in an engaging and friendly manner. Definitely one of the good guys." - Croydonian

"Right-Wing blogging from a UK student. A fresh perspective on a plethora of events with a healthy interest in shelf-stacking to boot." - Cityunslicker

"One of the more depressing aspects of blogging and the modern world is seeing reams of text on a page. The Thunder Dragon's mixture of politics and fun posts, with good illustrations and quickly made points makes his blog an accessible and fun place to discuss and think about politics... The Thunderdragon is one of the rising stars of conservative blogging" - Gracchi

"Already an A lister, technical whiz Thunder Dragon shows that not all A listers are stuck up stats groupies who’d sell their grandmothers for more traffic. And he’s on Iain Dale’s list for a reason – he’s simply a fine blogger, scoring highly on the ten point Dale criteria and with his finger always on the political pulse. He's also the technical brains behind Blogpower, along with Ian at Imagined Community." - James Higham

"The ThunderDragon consistently provides an interesting and enjoyable read - always entertaining and often insightful. His writing may even give us a foretaste of our political future. Stick with him. After all, time will cure his youth." - Tom Paine

"Thunder Dragon - Provocative and inventive, especially for this post about how to sort out the USA." - Matt Wardman

"... a cheeky young fire breather" - DuSanne

"A lovely little political blog... The articles are competently written with a small levening of opinion but not too much to annoy" - Baht At
