A State Funeral For Thatcher?

According to the Mail, she will be given a State funeral when she dies at some point in the future. If this is true, she will be the first Prime Minister since Churchill to be accorded this honour.
This is of course called “no less than she deserves” from some quarters, and “an insult” from others.
Personally, [...]

Tony Blair, Middle East Envoy, has been beaten at his own game by French President Nicolas Sarkozy:

The Israeli and Palestinian leaders have expressed their optimism over the chances for peace at a summit of EU and Mediterranean rim nations in Paris.
Israeli PM Ehud Olmert said his country had never been so close to reaching an [...]

“Don’t Blame Gordon”

Says Tony Blair.

It’s tough for all leaders at the moment right around the western world because they’ve got things that are happening that, to be fair to them, is not really their individual fault… If you take the financial crisis or fuel prices, these are things that are being driven by world events. I said [...]

And He Isn’t Even Being Ironic!

The man who first didn’t “do God”, said that those who talk about religion are regarded by the public as “nutters“, and then made a massive hoohah over converting to Catholicism is now going to devote his life to faith.
Yes, Tony Blair has proclaimed that he is going to “spend the rest of my life” [...]

John Prescott is emerging as the diplomat of New Labour. Certainly not something one would have expected. In his memoirs, he says that he hosted “hundreds” of reconcilitaory meetings and phone calls between Blair and Brown in order to prevent the breakout of outright hostility between the two most powerful men in the Cabinet.
Eventually, however, [...]

The Blair Advice Project

Apparently Tony Blair is giving Gordon Brown advice and has “told him how to win the next election”.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Please excuse me whilst I stop laughing… Ok. Right. I’m good now.
Just the very idea of Blair giving Brown advice - supposedly good advice - is laughable in itself, considering their history and the fact that it is [...]

Remember Question Time on 7 February 2007? No? Here’s a refresher of what was said:

Yes, he really did say: “I predict that when I come back on this programme in six months or a years time, people will be saying, ‘oh, wouldn’t it be great to have that Blair back, we can’t stand that [...]

Tony Blair would be President of the EU, but only if they give him enough power. This is one good reason for Gordon Brown to fight giving the EU power [or at least the President role], as Blair being President of the EU would be his nightmare.
This is a perfect reason to re-post William Hague’s [...]

Watch the video of Hague’s hilarious demolition of Gordon Brown in his speech on the EU (Amendment) Bill below [via Harry Hook].
Or read the text here at Daily Referendum.
Even Miliband can’t help from laughing!

Tony Blair Converts To Catholicism

To be honest, I couldn’t give two hoots. Religion is a private thing. I don’t care that Blair has become a Catholic and how “moving” the service was or whether Clegg is an atheist. Whatever anyone’s religious beliefs are are simply their own and no-one else’s. It matters not one jot to anyone else. So [...]
